About the company
iTree Lietuva is a Vilnius-based software company, part of iTree Group, founded in 2008. It develops custom information systems and provides their maintenance and further development. The company is an Oracle partner (Oracle Database, Java, E-Business Suite) and works for the finance, insurance, energy and utilities sectors and for the public sector.
My role
I worked as senior business analyst in large project teams, taking a defined part of the scope on each project.
Projects
- Euro changeover at Orlen Lietuva (a petroleum refining company). I took over the area of product sales by rail in Oracle E-Business Suite (up to 3 months).
- Euro changeover at NMA (the National Paying Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture). I analysed the impact of the changeover on the agency’s Oracle E-Business Suite support allocation system (3-4 months).
- Billing system at Vilniaus Vandenys (a water supply company). I covered meter reading collection during the initial stage of the project, built on Oracle E-Business Suite (3-4 months).
- VRK IS, the information system of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Lithuania (VRK). My main project at iTree: preparation of the system for the 2016 parliamentary elections. I was responsible for the state funding of elections: budget planning, recording of expenditure and reporting on the use of funds. The project was large, around 60 people with 11 analysts at the outset. Work began in December 2015 against a deadline that could not move, the elections of October 2016, and the system went live on time. VRK IS is still used in all elections organised by the Commission (municipal, parliamentary, presidential and European Parliament elections) and in referendums.
- Customer self-service portal at Vilniaus Vandenys. The solution has two sides, the functionality customers use and the back office used by company staff. I was responsible for the whole customer-facing side. The renewed self-service went live in 2018-02 and is still in use. Internally the client named it its project of the year, an award given to its own project team, which we supported as external specialists.
- EU structural funds management IS at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania. After the company won the tender for further development of the system, I produced the detailed scope assessment of the planned tasks that the project plan was built on (about 3 months). I was not part of the development that followed.
